Josbert Soto's work finds its main source of inspiration in entropy, where this philosophical and thermodynamic (physical) concept becomes a means of pictorial expression. Through a deliberate technique that uses the transformation of pigments, Soto reflects the passage of time and the inevitable decay that it entails.

His proposal captures the decomposition, the mixing and wear of colors, the oxidation of metals, making entropy manifest itself as a visual allegory of deterioration, the passage of time in all aspects of life. Josbert Soto's approach does not seek to resist decay, but rather explores and celebrates it. His works invite the viewer to reflect on the beauty hidden in disorder and impermanence, suggesting an acceptance, and even enjoyment, of the patterns that entropy leaves in its wake. Inspired by the unidirectionality of time and the unavoidable transformation of the universe. Through his pieces, Soto proposes that in decomposition and constant change lies a new way of understanding reality, embracing decay as an essential part of evolution, a constant of all subatomic particles and personal relationships.
